Sensei Steve McPeck Visits Budo Dojo

We were recently honored to have Sensei McPeck come out to teach several regular classes at Budo Dojo. His aikido has a gentle and soft presence complimented by exquisite timing and placement. Thursday night he taught to a full house of about 24 students. He demonstrated a wide variety of techniques with some emphasis on irimi nage, sokomen uchi irimi nage, and ryote mochi kokyu tanden. He taught again the following Monday to a more intimate class of 8 students where he worked on a variety of techniques including ikkyo, tenchi nage and koshi nage. After the main lesson he spent some time with the yudansha sharing his strategies of 3-man randori with bokken.
Sensei Steve McPeck, 6th dan is head instructor at in Sarasota, Florida. McPeck Sensei has been a direct student of for over 30 years, since Saotome Sensei first left and arrived in Sarasota in 1975 to start here in the United States.
